85th day is when I get to watch The Boss in action at Satyam, never took the urge to watch it early as always hoped that it would run for few 100 more. It's a complete Superstar film with Shankars royal touch.
Peter Jackson had the fantasy since kid and even he made a stop motion film of King Kong, and later when he was given the chance he left no stones unturned. Like wise Shankar must had a fancy for directing Rajni and when he got the chance he made sure Superstar to be bigger than mighty King Kong which is evident when he tears through the growling gorilla.
A regular with all Rajni movies to be honest, righteous, respect is evident and not preachy but practical. He had made sure that his fans give up smoking and start chewing (no harm in that I guess but keeps me wondering if it's anti-smoking gum).
Comedy GOOD, action AWESOME. Rajini as Sivaji is ravishing but as MGR is more dashing overall a complete entertainer for all ages, if I had the power would change one thing though from the movie, actually two scenes
1. Rajni's intro at airport escalator
2. Fight @ music shop
On both these scenes he rips off a gum and pop's it a style which only he can do, but drops the wrapper which is sad, instead make him to drop it in a trash can. Imagine all his fans following it we could increase the clean percentage factor, even though miniscule but would be a good move.
Any takers?? |
